Bob Giordano joins Brantley Security as Executive Vice President

Bob was recently named the Executive Vice President of Brantley Security Services and brings with him over 20 years experience in the industry. He has worked for some of the most prestigious security companies within the security industry in various management positions ranging from Sales Manager to Regional Manager. Bob owned his own security company in NY until 1994. He then brought his management skills working with providers of software specifically for the security industry. The past 4 years he has owned a consulting firm out of Florida delivering best practices and operational enhancements to his contract security clients. He has been a guest speaker at various ASIS seminars, as well as other security seminars throughout the country. Bob is an active member of ASIS serving as a Chapter Chairperson and one of the founding members of the Long Island IFMA chapter. He is a graduate Of UMass Amherst and is married with two children.

Q&A with Bob Giordano...

1. How long have you worked for Brantley Security Services?

I started with Brantley in January 2009.

2. What do you like about working for Brantley Security Services?

I love the people. It is one of the most hardworking, caring, customer service oriented, and competent group of professionals in the industry.

3. What does your normal workday consist of?

Normal? What is that? When not traveling to Nashville and Cincinnati I am usually in the office by 5:15 am for an early workout in the company fitness center and in my office working by 6:15 am. Most of the day is spent working with prospects, clients, or employees looking to improve respectively upon our presentations, services and support to our employees in the field. I usually leave the office between 6 and 7 at night.

4. What was the most rewarding thing about owning your own security company?

Owning my own security company was a challenge, however when I look back I can truly say that I learned about people and how dependent they were on the company that I was building to make a living. It was an awesome responsibility in that when I saw the success of my employees it was truly gratifying.

5. What was your childhood dream?

To be a member of the Coast Guard.

6. When you’re not in the office what are you doing?

I enjoy watching my children participate in sports, reading history books, playing basketball, golf and tennis. Anything outdoors!
